Kobeyaki Opens 1,706-SF Location in Jersey City, NJ
Colliers Representing Japanese Cuisine Chain's Expansion Outside of NYC Market
By: Colliers International Group
Colliers' Nancy Erickson, Executive Managing Director; Kelly Bayer, Associate Director; and Jennifer Flores, Associate, who are based in the global commercial real estate services firm's Parsippany, N.J., office, also are exploring additional New Jersey opportunities for Kobeyaki. In New York City, Kobeyaki has popular locations in Chelsea, Bryant Park, the Upper East Side and Madison Square Garden.
"Kobeyaki's expansion reflects the keen consumer interest in fresh, clean eating in a fast-casual dining atmosphere in the metro area and well beyond," said Erickson. Known for their rolls, bowls, burgers and buns, Kobeyaki has accomplished what was thought to be a culinary impossibility, serving delicious Japanese food without slowing customers down.
"Restaurants, in general, have become highly active in recent years," Erickson noted. "Within that industry, the fast-casual sector is seeing significant growth as time-crunched diners look for options that offer higher-quality options than traditional fast-food but still provide efficiency and affordable price points. Emerging concepts that promote healthy eating and offer items that consumers might not typically prepare at home – like burgers made with gourmet locally-sourced beef, sophisticated salad and rice bowls –are well positioned to succeed in this environment."
