Agritech Expo Zambia wins third prestigious AAXO ROAR Trade & Consumer Exhibition Award

CHISAMBA, Zambia - Feb. 8, 2018 - PRLog -- The iconic farming expo in Chisamba, Agritech Expo Zambia, won its third AAXO ROAR* Award in Johannesburg earlier this month. The ROAR* Awards honoured excellence in the exhibition and events industry on the continent during 2017. The awards are organised by the Association of African Exhibition Organisers (AAXO).

*ROAR = Respect, Opportunities, Achievement, Recognition

For the second year in a row, Agritech Expo Zambia won the ROAR award for Best Africa Bound Trade & Consumer Exhibition in the 12000+ sqm category. Last year the event received two accolades: also for Best Trade & Consumer Exhibition 12000+ sqm and for Distinction in Social Responsibility.

The expo has an outreach programme at the local Golden Valley Basic School in Chisamba, where, with the assistance of numerous event sponsors, it is assisting the school with much needed infrastructure upgrades, equipment supplies and management of the school's farm.

Driving agribusiness

The fifth edition of Agritech Expo Zambiareturns to GART in Chisamba again from 12-14 April and is expected to gather more than 22 000 visitors, over 270 local and international exhibitors with 3500 VIP and large scale farmers and 150 members of the media.

The event is free to attend for all visitors that pre-register.

Industry support
As in previous years, Agritech Expo Zambia enjoys extensive support from the agri industry with well-known suppliers AFGRI and John Deere returning as platinum sponsors once again. Confirmed gold sponsors are Gourock, SARO and Ursus and several country pavilions are expected to be part of the expo again.

Agritech Expo Zambia is owned by the Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) and is organised by Spintelligent, leading Cape Town-based trade exhibition and conference organiser, and the African office of Clarion Events Ltd, based in the UK. Another well-known agri event by Spintelligent is Farm-Tech Expo Kenya.
