CIMdata to Host Free Webinar on Digitalization and PLM

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Feb. 6, 2018 - PRLog -- CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm, announces an upcoming free educational webinar, "Digitalization and PLM - The Next Big Thing or All Hype?" The webinar will take place on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) and will last for one hour.

There is real energy behind the idea of digitalization, with many companies embracing the concept and beginning to invest heavily. Whether digitalization lives up to its promise may all come down to proper positioning and execution. The results from a CIMdata survey, conducted in late 2017, reveal that many of the companies aggressively pursuing a digitalization strategy do not have a good understanding of the interrelationship with and the importance of PLM.

During this webinar, we will explore the results and implications of that survey and ask webinar attendees to share their perspectives and experiences. With real-time polling and open microphone segments, we will orchestrate a dialogue within the PLM community, contributing to a deeper understanding of current perceptions and promoting recognition of PLM as a key pre-requisite platform for digitalization.

According to the webinar host, CIMdata's Director for Aerospace & Defense, James Roche, "While it is clear to most within the PLM community that PLM is foundational to a meaningful digitalization strategy, it is apparent that this truth is not understood by senior leadership within many companies."

Mr. Roche has over 30 years of experience in transformation and IT enablement of product development and manufacturing processes. He has been a strategic advisor and program manager for PLM programs across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Before joining CIMdata Mr. Roche was a PLM Practice Manager at CSC Consulting and at A.T. Kearney. He was also at EDS, where served as the chief architect for General Motors' worldwide engineering systems and as the head technical negotiator for strategic supplier contracts.

For this webinar, Mr. Roche will be joined by CIMdata's Vice President, Stan Przybylinski. Mr. Przybylinski has over 30 years of experience in the development of business-enabling IT solutions for research, engineering, and manufacturing organizations worldwide. He has been directly involved with selection, consulting, integration, and implementation of large-scale PLM solutions, and has worked on projects for both PLM solution suppliers and end-user organizations in the automotive, aerospace, consumer packaged goods, high-tech, and medical device industries.
