ELIZABETH, Colo. - Feb. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Freedom Hunters has been named a partner with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in efforts to hold 24 fishing and hunting events around the country in 2018. Freedom Hunters is a military outreach program for select active duty and combat veterans, families of fallen heroes, children of the deployed and those service members who have been wounded or injured. Participants enjoy outdoor adventures that include hunting and fishing. Freedom Hunters joins several other veterans groups in this endeavor.

Last October, Freedom Hunter founder Anthony Pace and four Freedom Hunters Outreach Coordinators met with Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke and Department of the Interior heads in Washington, D.C., in a roundtable discussion focusing on the special access needs of disabled veterans to federal lands and ways to offer more outdoor experiences to those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

"Freedom Hunters is proud to be a partner with Secretary Zinke's initiative. We will be holding at least six hunts on National Wildlife Refuges in 2018. These six hunts will touch over 50 wounded veterans. For many veterans, these hunts will be the first time they have been out of their homes or hospitals with other veterans since their injuries. Refuge personnel go above and beyond to make sure the warriors are welcomed and prepared for the hunt," said Pace.
