By: Freedom Hunters Last October, Freedom Hunter founder Anthony Pace and four Freedom Hunters Outreach Coordinators met with Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke and Department of the Interior heads in Washington, D.C., in a roundtable discussion focusing on the special access needs of disabled veterans to federal lands and ways to offer more outdoor experiences to those who have sacrificed for our freedoms. "Freedom Hunters is proud to be a partner with Secretary Zinke's initiative. We will be holding at least six hunts on National Wildlife Refuges in 2018. These six hunts will touch over 50 wounded veterans. For many veterans, these hunts will be the first time they have been out of their homes or hospitals with other veterans since their injuries. Refuge personnel go above and beyond to make sure the warriors are welcomed and prepared for the hunt," said Pace. About Freedom Hunters Freedom Hunters is a military outreach program dedicated to honoring those who protect our freedoms. Our mission is to salute the noble work of our courageous men and women of our Armed Forces. Freedom Hunters reflects the outdoor community's appreciation to our troops by taking: select active duty and combat veterans, families of fallen heroes, children of the deployed, as as those wounded or injured, on outdoor adventures. Freedom Hunters' mission is empowered by the generous support of many: sportsmen, conservation groups, state agencies, outfitters, corporations and land owners.
