By: Eagle Commercial Realty Services This makes Gorden's first acknowledgement in receiving this award. His 2017 totals were made up of some notable deals, including a new single property sale price record for Arizona at 17.5 Million and over 23 Million Dollars of properties closed in secondary markets around Arizona. When asked about those secondary market totals, Gorden responded, "We've been really happy that our system that works so well in Phoenix and Tucson also serves small market owners well." Some other notable deals followed throughout the year including AA Val U Stor and A Secured Vehicle Storage. AA Val U Stor is the largest self-storage property in Yuma, Arizona. Gorden's team sold the property for the original developer/operator. "We were very happy to sell a property in such great condition with such pride of ownership. Yuma is a great community with a bustling economy," said Gorden. The A Secured property sold for $5,800,000 and was located on an infill 11-acre parcel in Gilbert, Arizona. The 1999 construction property had recent capital and operational improvements driving revenue growth and leading to the sale at a great investment price to the new owner who was in a 1031 exchange. Although there were several deals in between January and December, Gorden closed 2017 with back to back closings totaling $22.95 Million on December 18th & 19th. Gorden, who specializes in Self Storage, Boat & RV Storage investment properties, puts a lot of the credit to his team with the Argus Self Storage Sales Network and Eagle Commercial. "We could not have accomplished this without the help of our Argus partners and our Phoenix based team." Gorden stated, "It's a great feeling to win this award, especially in a smaller market such as Arizona where asset prices are typically much lower than on the east and west coasts. We do feel more pressure going into 2018 to match our 2017 performance." End
