CLERKENWELL, England - Jan. 30, 2018 - PRLog -- New Generation Publishing, a leading UK self-publishing service dedicated to helping writers to sell their books, has reported that the number of books sold by its self-published authors rose by a fifth in 2017 when compared to 2016 figures.

New Generation Publishing experienced a record-breaking year with a 12% rise in the number of books it published over the course of 2017, in comparison to 2016, and an 18% increase in royalties paid out to authors. These are in addition to the 20% year-on-year rise in books sold by its self-published authors.

New Generation Publishing was created in 2009 as part of award-winning independent book publisher Legend Press. New Generation became a company in its own right in 2011, offering an increased management, marketing and promotional team. The company has grown year-on-year since its inception.

Daniel Cooke, Managing Director of New Generation Publishing, commented:

"These figures reflect a highly successful year for New Generation Publishing. It is especially gratifying to see the marked rise in sales and royalties paid figures after the concerted effort we made to work even closer with our authors in the marketing and promotion of their titles. However, the fact remains that all too many self-published authors continue to miss out on a significant number of opportunities. And our aim for 2018 is to support our authors even further in realising the full earning potential of their work."
