Shakespeare's Greatest Lovers and Biggest Blowhard Come to Madison
February is full of all-ages, all-local, affordable classic theater
Henry the Fourth: Prince Hal and Henry Percy (aka Hotspur), two of Shakespeare's greatest leaders, clash to determine England's fate. Falstaff, history's greatest blowhard, calls for more wine. White as Falstaff, Brian McGowan as Prince Hal, Ari Pollack as Hotspur, Martha E. White as Lady Hotspur, and Sydney Kleinholz as Mistress Quickly. February 9 through 17 at the Bartell Theatre.
A Valentine's Affair: Six scenes featuring some of Shakespeare's best-known couples, some heartbreaking surprises, and the unpredictable improv of Sonnets From a Hat. Directed by Emily Morrison Weeks (As You Like It) and featuring Don Dexter and Mary Dexter as Antony and Cleopatra, with Deanna Martinez, Mary Elizabeth Wallin, Ian Hathway, and MSC newcomer Rowan Meyer-Rainford. February 13 at Capital Brewery and February 14 at the Bartell Theatre.
