Lynx CBD Site Funds Disease Research

DENVER - Jan. 27, 2018 - PRLog -- A colorado company providing hemp derived CBD products launched a new site on January 25, 2018. The critical mission for the team at Lynx CBD was to further research on prevalent diseases plaguing the world. Their unique check-out system allows users to pick from one of the 4-5 charities they've decided to support. The customers choice will result in the Lynx CBD donating one dollar to the specified charity. Donations come from the sale and do not increase the price of the CBD products being purchased.

Currently, the site allows donations to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research, American Cancer Society to benefit Cancer research, Wounded Warrior in support of PTSD research, Epilepsy Foundation to support Epilepsy research, and will soon offer a donation for the conservation of the Canada Lynx. Organizations that receive donations will change during the course of their business, and may reflect the recipient organization's involvement in CBD research, but it is not a requirement to receive donations. In addition, there is no cap on the amount donated. Their goal of 20 thousand dollars donated in their first year is ambitious, but not unrealistic. According to a recent Westword article, CBD sales in America have tripled since 2014 and in 2017 totalled over 350 millions dollars.

The amount of money spent on CBD pales in comparison to those suffering from the diseases supported by Lynx CBD. Cancer is one the most rampant conditions on their donations list, suffered by over 14 million people living in the US alone. A relatively and more recently defined disease, PTSD, impacts over 5 million adults in the United States every year. Surprisingly, this is more than the next two recipients combined. Epilepsy is characterized by 2 or more seizures from an unknown cause, and experienced by over two and half million men, women, and children domestically. Parkinson's rounds out the donation recipients, but the one million sufferers is no less staggering of a figure. It was these disturbing numbers that inspired the founders of Lynx CBD to give back.
