Irish Start Up Will Change the Way Millennials Travel
By: Capture Travel
The Capture Travel enterprise aims to provide an authentic experience for young adults outside the normal tourist trail of 'hackneyed landmarks, over-priced food and unoriginal encounters' on their trips to Europe. They collaborate with niche independent businesses that offer a medley of services that include intriguing dining experiences (in train cars, on rooftops), artisan coffee, sushi burritos, craft beer, vintage clothes, retro products, cat cafes, and arthouse cinemas (among others).
The Dublin based start-up is a product of its own modernity: launching the card through a crowd-funder, using social media to garner interest and utilizing the contemporary 'hipster' term to ironically advertise to its target audience. 23-year-old UCD graduate, Katie Doyle, is running the show and they even quoted an Instagram Influencer in this press release. Capture Travel raises questions about how the next generation will not only change the way we travel, but also the way in which we develop, promote, and execute businesses in the coming years.
Speaking at the launch live on Instagram, Katie Doyle (23), Capture Travel Director, said:
"I promise you in ten years, you'll remember the amazing little patisserie where you sat and drank café express with the locals, more than the photo you took at the Eiffel Tower. That's what the Capture Travel Card is all about: having experiences beyond the tourist trail."
Social media influencer, Chris Murphy @chrisisaimndom:
"It's amazing value for money, I can't wait to book my next trip to London and visit these quirky businesses and trendy eats and get my discount."
