Mesa De Vida All-natural Cooking Sauces Make Winter Fancy Food Show Debut

SEATTLE - Jan. 17, 2018 - PRLog -- SEATTLE (January 16, 2018) – Mesa de Vida (http://www.mesadevida.com/), a new line of all-natural, multi-use cooking sauces, will make its debut at the Specialty Food Association's Winter Fancy Food Show (https://www.specialtyfood.com/shows-events/winter-fancy-food-show/) in San Francisco on January 21 – 23, 2018. Founder Chef Kirsten Helle will exhibit and sample her collection of four distinct flavor bases at Table #5 in the New Brands on the Shelf Pavilion.  Attendees are invited to experience the taste of a brand that is slowly disrupting its own product category.

Mesa de Vida all-natural cooking sauces are concentrated flavor bases that provide all the vegetables and spices needed to bring exciting flavors to the table - simply. Whereas most cooking sauces are comprised of mostly water and ample salt, each jar of Mesa de Vida contains at least 15 different 100% real, whole food ingredients. These include pure vegetables, fruit, whole ground spices and herbs, which home cooks won't have to shop for or prepare. No chopping, no cabinet full of spices and herbs.

All sauces are Low Sodium, Gluten Free, Non-GMO, Vegan / Paleo friendly and No Added Sugar. They also offer multiple uses, including as recipe starters, a simmer or slow cooker sauce, a low-sugar marinade and glaze, or as an all-purpose seasoning. Mesa de Vida's four distinct varieties are:

Mesa de Vida's bold flavors are supported by the inspiring backstory of its founder, Chef Kirsten Helle.  After being diagnosed with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and prediabetes at age 25, Kirsten knew she had to make a lifestyle change for herself and her family, but didn't know how.  Wary of extreme and fad dieting, she sought to do so in a balanced way. Kirsten cleaned out her cupboards and started to eat only real foods. By focusing on a healthy lifestyle, rather than a number on the scale, she lost more than 100 lbs.

As living proof that healthy could mean balanced, Kirsten became a private chef, so she could share these real food findings with others.  However, after her business took off, she started to work with numerous pro-athletes, appeared on the Food Network, on the cover of Woman's Day and more, Chef Kirsten noticed how inconvenient it seemed to achieve this balance - not to mention how expensive.  Lacking the time and energy to cook a healthy meal seemed to be a common theme for just about everyone.

Chef Kirsten had been perfecting her sofrito and, instead of relying on excess salt or sugar found in many spice blends and sauces, she discovered the natural aspects provided by fresh vegetables and fruits combined with the pure spice blends created something quite special and delicious. Her clients agreed. She tailored the spices and vegetables around their individual cultural backgrounds and flavors – bringing them a taste of home, while also being easy to make and always fitting their health needs.

At their urging, Chef Kirsten decided to bring her all-natural, 100% real food ingredient cooking sauces to market. And, thus, Mesa de Vida was born.
