GET's CEO Dain Schult, Announces More Fine Tuning of The Big Kahuna Format
Putting The Big Kahuna, Segue City and Dark Side of the Moon Together
GET CEO, Dain L. Schult, remarked, "The deeper that Radioactivity and Influentia have both been involved in the development of this format, the research and discussions including dissecting every bit of this has led to the evolutionary decision to include elements of Segue City and Dark Side of the Moon into the overall Big Kahuna format
"Primarily designed to appeal to Baby Boomers as "The Soundtrack of Your Life," the format isn't the atypical Classic Rock or even Classic Hit approach. Designed to weave several decades of rock music together along with musical spice from surprise select elements of Rhythm and Blues, Jazz and Country, the format will simply not be just the same old song and dance.
"With all the that will fit in this formation there really should be no complaints about songs repeating too often. Radioactivity's research indicates that many target listeners do like all kinds of music. They aren't just stuck in one gear – one genre.
"The Big Kahuna will be utilized in both terrestrial and Internet Radio station environments and have several programming sub elements such as Segue City and something else the Influentia guys came up with - Dark Side of the Moon. The thought was to ease into Segue City becoming a full-time format in its own right by slotting in the early evening to midnight segment leading into the overnight programming.
"Dark Side of the Moon will be the overnight programming dedicated to presenting album sides of various Classic Rock and Classic Hit albums along with pertinent background information on the artists being featured. A lot of good music is getting lost when people only focus on the hits of an artist's album or have various songs overplayed by typical Class Rock stations they may have been listening to in the past.
