PRLog -- AT&T/DIRECTV have acquired the award-winning big wave surfing documentary film Red Chargers from Beverly Hills-based Principal Media. Filmed in stunning, visually rich 4K HDR (high dynamic range) by the Los Angeles based production company The Go Big Project, and directed by the multiple award-winning creative team Rocky Romano & Miranda Winters, the two time Best Film winning Red Chargers takes audiences on a visual and emotional journey through the struggles and rewards of the men and women that attempt to ride the biggest waves on the planet. Coupled with their Director of Photography Alexey Orlov, the Directors provide a unique insight to this tight-knit world of professional athletes.
"I watched two true HLG HDR programs on channel 104 and 106 last night. The first show was a true HLG HDR surfing documentary called Red Chargers. It was the single highest quality program I have ever witnessed from Satellite TV. The menu guide showed the "HDR" text next to the program title so it was definitely true HLG HDR. It was also well done HDR. I hope everyone will check that out when it replays."

AT&T's "next-generation"
video platform now supports 4K HDR video streaming and the introduction of cloud DVR support. At almost 4 times the display resolution of standard HD, 4K is a giant leap forward for entertainment. Select 4K video content is also supported by the gorgeous extra contrast, brightness and color richness associated with high dynamic range technology. Red Chargers is the first 4K HDR surfing documentary in DirecTV's new 4K HDR lineup.
