Registration for the Congress Oxford Summer School for Japanese students at Oxford is now open

OXFORD, U.K. - Jan. 15, 2018 - PRLog -- Registration for the next Congress Oxford Summer School for Japanese students on 13-24 August 2018 at Oxford (UK) is now open!

The aim of Congress Oxford is to make a positive and substantial contribution to the teaching of English language and the British culture to benefit non-English speakers. Currently, Congress Oxford is offering summer school teaching to Japanese students at Oxford. Their next summer school is scheduled on 13-14 August 2018.

Their highly-interactive and involved programmes are aimed at stimulating and activating interest in the English language through a range of tried-and-tested, vibrant and innovative teaching methods. They provide highly-focussed English language and British culture programmes at prestigious Oxford University Colleges, created specifically for Japanese students aged 18 years and over.

As well as including intensive work on listening, speaking, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, they offer:

• a team of experienced native staff, qualified to teach English as a foreign language, skilled in teaching Japanese students
• tailored course content for all levels, aimed at refining communication skills
• topic-oriented, innovative teaching methods to practice applying their English language skills in the real world
• exposure to the British culture via a range of excursions & activities
• small group teaching for individual attention

The Congress Oxford academic team want to encourage young Japanese students to develop their English language and to explore the British Culture. They are confident that the experience they offer will help the students to realise their true potential to contribute to their own society by their new language skills, assist in their commitment to developing their careers, and demonstrate their interest in increasing intercultural understanding.

Student welfare and Health and Safety is of paramount importance to the Congress Oxford teams. Although the summer school students will be 18 years and over when they join, for many this may be their first time away from home. Thus, in addition to their academic team, they will also have a dedicated support team of college mentors, who will be Oxford undergraduate students, to help students at the campus, around the city and during excursions. Moreover, they will have safety regulations in place, ensuring their students have a safe and happy experience.

Who should attend?

Congress Oxford courses are for anyone interested in enhancing their English language communication skills and exploring the British culture! For example:

• Finishing high school
• Studying at university or a vocational college
• Planning on going abroad
• Involved in international sport, such as Tokyo 2020

Although they are primarily aiming for students aged 18 years and over, on sufficient demand they will also be very happy to produce similar programmes for younger students (e.g., 15-17 year-olds).
