FORT MILL, S.C. - Jan. 13, 2018 - PRLog -- You are engaged!  It is an exciting time for you and your fiancée.  Now the planning begins and with all of the online help available, you are fairly certain that you can handle everything yourself.  Besides, aren't those wedding planners really expensive? You begin to imagine all the beautiful flowers, the exquisite dress you'll wear, the dance floor packed as your friends and family enjoy your wedding. And you were able to just relax and do nothing but enjoy all your hard work.  Unfortunately, that scenario is not the norm.  And asking Aunt Betty to do the job of "day of coordinator" isn't really fair to her.

Imagine that the videographer you hired, after much research on wedding websites, shows up an hour and a half late.  They had such great reviews!  What happened? The flowers you saw pictures of don't quite look the same and the ceremony musicians you chose refuse to play because you forgot to make their last payment ahead of time and you don't have a check on hand to pay them. I've actually been to weddings as a guest and saw a band pack up and leave for that very reason.

Furthermore, the hotel where you are to get ready with your bridesmaids won't let you into your room in time because they are booked to capacity and their "preferred" customers have all asked for a late check out.

Many brides think that by not hiring a wedding planner they will save money.  And if they do hire a "day of" coordinator, it is usually the last vendor they hire! It would be like deciding to build a house and not asking an architect to create the plans.  If you want to save money and make sure you enjoy your big day, hire a planner first!

Hiring your wedding planner first and consider more than just "Day or Month Of" will ensure you don't over pay in one area while having very little left in another.  When you hire a professional wedding planner, the money that you pay is well worth the peace of mind you will have going into your big day.  A great planner will take you through the process step by step.  They will find out your budget and then make things happen within budget.  Keep in mind they know vendors with various levels of expertise and price points.  We have seen brides blow all of their budget on a gorgeous venue, and then not be able to feed their guests anything but Chinese Take Out! Planners also have the inside scoop on what vendors they can trust to be on time and to do a good job.

A planner will also take the time to get to know you and your fiancée.  This is important is because when something happens, and it will, the planner will know how to handle it because they will know you and your priorities.  They will advocate for you and take care of things! They will help you save money in the long run too by giving you sound advice and by steering you in the right direction. If you have a fairly hefty budget, they will help you hire the best of the best.  No matter what your budget, a planner is just as important as the cake and entertainment.  In fact a planner is more important!

So, as you begin your wedding planning journey, consider hiring a reputable wedding planner first, not last.  You are paying a lot to celebrate your wedding.  Make sure it comes off right.  As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for!"  This will not only make your day stress free, but a great wedding planner, like We Tie the Knots Charlotte http://www.wetietheknots.com, will give you everything you need to make your day special!
