Film Festival for Web Series "Miami Web Fest"- Call for Entries

Miami Web Fest, a four-day film festival happening April 26-29th, 2018 is currently accepting independently produced web series for its 2019 season

MIAMI - Jan. 11, 2018 - PRLog -- The Five-year-running event features a "Pitch Fest", where creators pitch to TV executives, an Entertainment Law panel, Celebrity Guests, Exclusive Industry Networking Parties, and an upscale Awards Ceremony.  Theater screenings of all accepted web series will take place at the Wolfsonian Museum on South Beach, with other celebrations throughout the city. The web series are judged by network executives from HBO, Viacom, and a number of other prominent companies.

"We wanted to create a work-play environment where independent producers could meet network executives and discuss opportunities.", said Bryan Thompson, the festival's director and CEO.

A main attraction will be a directing masterclass given by Hollywood director Bobby Roth, known for directing "Prison Break", "Hawaii Five-O", "MacGyver" and other well-known television programs. The class will offer filmmakers a unique look into how "big-budget" television programs are directed and tips for how to excel in the craft.

Submissions for the 2019 season open on February 1st, 2018.  Any submission received between February 1st and April 1st will automatically qualify to compete in the 2018 trailer competition by submitting at no charge and potentially participating in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons by way of the same submission.
