Thiel College business professor addresses probate issues during legal seminar

GREENVILLE, Pa. - Jan. 10, 2018 - PRLog -- John Gomolchak, Esq., an Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Accounting at Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, was among a panel of presenters at a continuing legal education function in Erie, Pa. during the College's winter break.

"The Probate Process from Start to Finish" program was Dec. 18 in Erie, Pa. at the Ambassador Conference Center and was put on by the National Business Institute. Attorneys and certified public accountants from across the region attended.

Gomolchak presented on topics that included filing an estate in probate court; administering the estate effectively; uncovering laws of intestacy and how they may apply. In addition to those three topics, the Thiel College (https://www.thiel.edu/ professor stepped in when another presenter was needed in court. The additional presentations covered understanding the role of the personal representative in probate; managing the inventory and closing the estate.

Gomolchak is a 1981 graduate of Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting and a law degree from Duquesne University. He maintains a law practice in Erie and is licensed before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, Pennsylvania Superior Court, Erie County Court of Common Pleas, United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and United States Tax Court.
