Follow on Google News | Advertising Sales Icon Jerry Wolff Named Senior Vice President of TVS Television Network40 Year Ad Sales Veteren Jerry Wolff was there at the beginning of selling advertising of sports teams on regional cable sports networks. Again, he was a pioneer in the selling of advertising in the fledgling basic cable TV sports industry.
By: TVS Television Network Wolff started his advertising carrier in 1967. working extensively in different roles over the course of his successful career. He served as General Sales Manager for the prestigious RKO Radio station, WOR in New York. In 1978, Mr. Wolff joined New York radio station, WMCA as Station Manager and also served as General Manager since 1980. He operated radio properties in 1975 for breaking all previous sales records at WOR. Mr. Wolff developed for TCG includes companies such as: Sharp Electronics, MBNA, IDT Corp., Net2Phone, Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises, Cidco Communications, Colgate Palmolive, CSC Computer Services, Milton Bradley Products, Conagra Corp., LG Electronics, Casio Consumer Products, NAPA Automotive Products, Alberto Culver Co., Gulf Oil Corp., and many other blue chip corporations. He received the RKO Excellence in Management Award. Additionally, Jerry was a pioneer in the marriage of professional sports teams (NBA, NHL, MLB) and cable television systems (Multiple System Operators), in several markets including New York, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, and many other cities. Over the years, Wolff has been intimately involved in the forefront of cutting edge new media trends including sophisticated social media programs, the advent of FM radio, the emergence of cable television, the development of exciting sports marketing programs. Wolff also served as the Advertising Sales Director of the Nostalgia Network, a cable network now known as Good TV. Ironically, Nostalgia Network was acquired by TVS and is again under Wolff's purview. Wolff will handle advertising for all of the TVS Television Network properties, including TV4U, the 72 TVS 'Micro Channels', TVS Classic Sports Network, TVS Radio Network, and TVS Magazines.
