Maryland Author Releases New Title in Romance Series

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Jan. 8, 2018 - PRLog -- Gallant Fox Press has released the fourth book in contemporary romance author Kristen Casey's "Second Chances" series, in which she explores the lives and relationships of the Flynn and O'Connell sisters—four women who just need one more chance to get things right. Filled with heat and heart and Casey's trademark brand of bright and witty dialogue, this series has garnered five-star reviews since it debuted last year.

FINDING A HUSBAND is set in Wilmington, North Carolina, and follows a side character from FINDING LOVE (Second Chances, #2). While Molly O'Connell played only a supporting role in that story, here she is ready to seize her own happily ever after—she just doesn't know it yet. Molly has a dysfunctional family history, and she's made her own questionable choices. She's been burned, but she thinks she's fine. All she needs is a good job, and then life will proceed as normal.

Once Molly meets Jake Alexander, she can toss all her assumptions out the window. Jake appears to be everything she seeks to avoid. Getting to know him proves that he's nothing like he seems, though—and that fact poses a real danger to her wary heart. Molly can't dismiss Jake easily, since he's the son of the man she's interviewing with. To top it off, Jake has agreed to show her around town as a favor to her brother-in-law, and he is taking that role very seriously. Getting rid of Jake is going to be trickier than just handing him a fake phone number—especially once Molly realizes that she doesn't want him gone. The future seems full of promise…until the past intervenes. Jake has a former fiancée who likes to stir up trouble, but she's not as "former" as Jake—or Molly—would like her to be.

Events come to a head with some particularly blatant lies from Jake's ex flame—but before he and Molly can resolve things, Molly is called away by a sudden death in the family. It takes the intervention of assorted friends and family to get these two back on track, but once they do the chemistry is undeniable and the feel-good ending is one readers can cheer for.

Other titles in the SECOND CHANCES series include FINDING HOME—in which a traumatized divorcee goes on safari with friends, only to encounter more sorrow, more intrigue, and more love than she anticipated; FINDING LOVE—in which true love surmounts the vagaries of memory loss only after a great deal of struggle; and LOST IN LOVE—in which two side characters from FINDING LOVE fall for each other amidst his family struggles and her health issues, but still manage to keep things steamy and heartfelt. Reader requests prompted Casey to include a bonus short story in that edition, entitled LUCKY IN LOVE—a sweet male/male romance. Future books in the series include FINDING FOREVER and the spinoff novella FOREVER AND A DAY, and are slated for release in 2018.
