Stepp Stewart's Cindy The Musical Returns to Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center January 19-20

ATLANTA - Jan. 7, 2018 - PRLog -- Cindy The Musical, produced by Emmy Nominated Producer/Director/Choreographer/Songwriter and Playwright, Stepp Stewart, returns to the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center January 19 and 20. The entire family is welcome to attend. Tickets are $30.

This musical fairytale set in Harlem 1943, tells the story of Cindy, who is reunited with her father after traveling from down south to meet her new stepmother and sisters. She quickly finds herself in a house full of mean-spirited relatives who don't give her the reception she is expecting. Cindy rises above bullying and low self-esteem as she never stops believing in love and happiness. Based on the 1978 television special of the same name, Cindy is a different kind of Cinderella story now adapted for the stage.

The Prince and Princess Sugar Hill Ball brought to you by Cindy The Musical returns on Saturday, January 20 at 5 p.m. in The Black Box Sugar Hill Ballroom inside the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center. Boys and girls should dress to impress for a fun-filled evening. Tickets are $25.00 per person for the Ball only. The Prince & Princess Ball & Cindy The Musical Show combo is $45.00 per person. At the Ball there will be food, drinks, music, dancing, photo opportunities, and meet Cindy in person. There will also be a tea-sipping area, slipper fittings, and more.

Members of the cast of Cindy The Musical are: Dri Jack as Cindy, Avis LaShawn as The Wicked Stepmother, LaMonte Williams as Cindy's Father, Jamie Moreen as The Chauffer, Jajuan Glasper as Captain Joe Prince, Danette Sheppard (from New York) as an evil Stepsister, Doreka Gans as an evil Stepsister, and Ronda Reese Heaggans as The Fairy Godmother, including an ensemble of dancers and singers.
