Flagship Cruises and Events Announces Changes in Management

SAN DIEGO - Jan. 8, 2018 - PRLog -- Mr. Art Engel, CEO of Flagship Cruises & Events, announced that effective January 1, 2018, after 25 years as the President of Flagship, Mr. George Palermo, will now serve as the CFO of not only Flagship, but the other entities - Marine Group Boat Works, Coronado Ferry Landing & Cabrillo Hoist.  Mr. Palermo has been a great asset to the organization and will continue as a key member of the executive team.

Mr. Art Engel also announced the promotion of Mr. Brad Engel (previously Vice President), to the President of Flagship Cruises & Events.   Brad has been an integral part of the organization and worked within the company for over 19 years. Brad began his hospitality career in 1999 when the company was still named San Diego Harbor Excursion.  After graduating from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management he was promoted to Director of Operations and became responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. Since 2004, Brad's responsibilities have been expanded to include Sales, Finance and New Construction projects. In recent years Brad has been responsible for the completion of a new $2.5 million docking facility along San Diego's Bayfront and two kiosks, as part of the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan, in conjunction with the Port of San Diego.  He also oversaw all construction aspects of Flagship's newest vessel, the Patriot jet boat.  Brad currently serves on the Passenger Vessel Association's Legislative committee and the San Diego Port Tenant's Association Board. He has earned this opportunity and is excited to continue working with everyone.
