TVS Classic Sports Network.Com Launches Ad Supported Video on Demand Service on Daily Motion

TVS Television Network, the nation's fourth oldest commercial broadcast network, celebrates it's 60th anniversary by launching the TVS Classic Sports Network.Com on the Daily Motion IPTV platform. TVS has produced sports on TV since 1960.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Jan. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- The TVS Television Network has launched TVS Classic Sports Network.Com on the Daily Motion IPTV platform. The new channel is advertising supported and free to view worldwide. Programming include sports events produced by the TVS Televiwsion Network since it's inception in 1960. This includes major college basketball; major college football bowl games; the World Football League; LPBT Bowling; IWA Wrestling; NASCAR and Indy Car Racing; Pro Rodeo; Pro Tennis; the AIAW; PHGA and LPGA Golf; ABA Basketball; Championship Boxing; and USFL Football.

TVS was founded by Eddie Einhorn, who produced landmark programming such as the 1968 Houston UCLA Basketball Game of the Century, the 1973 USA vs. China Basketball Game; the 1973 World University Games; and the World Football League.  Einhorn owned TVS from it's inception until 1978, when he sold it to Corinthian Broadcasting to become the Director of Sports for CBS.

In 1990, Tom Ficara acquired TVS and has owned and operated it for the past 28 years. Ficara is best known for launching sports on cable TV with the first live, national commercial cablecast in 1976 - a World Hockey Association game featuring the Birmingham Bulls and the Edmonton Oilers.

TVS Classic Sports Network.Com features classic sports programming from  the 10,000 title TVS Sports Library. This library includes not only TVS, but also the Mizlou Television Network, Sports Network Inc, CD Chesley, Katz Broadcasting, Video Techniques, and MHS libraries.

TVS Television Network is advertising based and free to view on Daily Motion.Com /TVS Global Media. Advertising sales for the network are handled by  industry veteran Jerry Wolff, who established advertising on cable TV sports back in the 1970's and the advent of regional cable sports networks. It was Wolff who established Budweiser on regional cable sports networks as they launched in that era.

TVS Classic Sports Network.Com features 300 major classic sports events that TVS originally programmed via the Classic Sports Network in the 1990's. CSN was subsequently sold to ESPN and became ESPN Classic, at which time TVS withdrew all rights to their programming.
