Safety and Privacy Concerns Prompt New Website Launch

New online panties sales auction website offers safer, more secure platform with payment gateway services after recognizing risks.

WINCHESTER, Va. - Jan. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- With the Netflix television series Orange Is the New Black the selling of women's worn panties online was brought into the mainstream but at what risks? With people search websites abundant across the web, privacy breeches occurring often, and hacking becoming more prominent, both sellers and buyers may be at risk. Evil Bia Enterprises, LLC doing business as Snurgary hopes to solve that problem with the launch of its new website www.snurgary.com, an online auction dedicated to selling gently worn clothing such as panties, lingerie, and shoes.

So what makes Snurgary safer and different from other panties sales websites? For starters, it's private, secure auction features similar to that of eBay set it apart from the classified ad format of other websites. Sellers can offer their wares for auction or a flat buy now fee in a variety of categories for both men and women.

"After talking to a friend of mine who wanted to sell her own panties online I learned that the options out there are slim and left much to be desired," said owner Jennifer Kennedy when asked what gave her the idea for the Snurgary website. "The few websites out there [for online panties sales] are more of a classified ad setup with no real payment exchange service and they charge monthly membership fees. I feel like it kind of takes advantage of their customers, making decent money off of them without really providing a safe environment with useful features. They offer the bare minimum."

A typical sale on other panties sales websites is paid via online gift cards from Amazon or GiftRocket. Kennedy felt that paying via gift cards "just felt shady. My friend had to create a separate email account with a fake name and a GiftRocket account with a fake name just to protect her identity. I thought, 'there's gotta be a better way.'" Kennedy asked her friend (who she did not want to name to protect her identity) about her privacy and safety concerns and thought there were most likely more women who felt the same way. This is why she decided to build the Snurgary website to serve as a mediary between buyers and sellers in order to help protect their identity and offer a safe selling environment. After consulting with PayPal to ensure it would not violate its Terms of Use Agreement Kennedy incorporated it into Snurgary to handle safe, secure payments between buyers and sellers. Snurgary also uses SSL Certificate encryption to ensure that all user information is protected.

Snurgary doesn't charge a monthly fee but it does collect a 10% commission from each sale and charges a minimal fee for each listing. Listing fees are waived until February 1, 2018. It also offers optional services such as highlighting or featuring listings on the front page for a small fee. Kennedy believes that fees and commission per listing are more reasonable than a monthly fee because it allows the seller more freedom. Paying a monthly fee is "money down the drain if a seller doesn't want to list anything for a month or more" she said.

While recognizing the nature of worn intimate clothing Snurgary hopes to provide a tasteful online atmosphere and does not allow nude or pornographic images. To ensure that sellers are at least 18 years of age and actual people instead of bots Snurgary verifies each member's identity. Accounts are not activated until verification is complete.

So what does the name Snurgary mean? Kennedy pointed to the online Urban Dictionary definition, "A place of solitude where a gent my enjoy the scent of his soiled lingerie collection."
