Follow on Google News | Near Death Experience Inspires New-Age Romance SeriesPhoto-journalist Phil King has traded his camera for a keyboard to pen a new series set in St. Augustine, Florida, his home for many years
By: Phil King Tom Porter is running from his past–and his future–only to slam into the Bridge of Lions during a storm. The novice sailor has gotten the attention of the Lord, who apparently has His own plans for Tom. Opening with dangerous excitement, the story becomes controversial as it weaves saucy romance with the suspense and intrigue of a "temporary" murder, and examines traditional religious concepts. But the story isn't over with book one as Tom and his companions continue their spiritual coming-of-age journey. Bearing the small press Twisted Hair Publications imprint from On-Target Words, Rising Love can be ordered wherever books are sold, including online outlets, Kindle, and a wide range of eBook formats including Nook, Sony, and Apple. King has been a military photographer, magazine photojournalist, songwriter, traveler, and historian, and he was the history writer at "Old City Life", the premier magazine of St. Augustine Beach, where he lives and writes his stories. In Saint Augustine Carriage Tour, his photographs and narrative about popular St. Augustine spots made the book more fun than the "average" tourist guide and has sold more than a thousand copies to date. Phil is every bit a "people" person and enjoys listening to stories as well as telling his own. He's always interested in meeting fans and selling and signing his books. He can be found regularly on Saturday mornings at the local Farmer's Market at the St. Augustine Amphitheater where he's had a presence for many years.
