SUZHOU, China - Dec. 28, 2017 - PRLog -- Optcore, a trust-able supplier of fiber optic transceiver and solutions, today announced 10GBASE-T copper SFP+ transceiver that supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over Cat 6a/7 cable, giving device designers and data center professionals new options for deploying networking solutions.

Optcore's SFP+ 10GBASE-T copper transceivers are designed for high-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet communication over the Cat 6a / Cat7 cable. It complies with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T standards specified in IEEE STD 802.3an, 802.3ab and 802.3au. 10G copper SFP + transceivers enable IT designers and data center professionals to extend the reach of 10GbE Ethernet links over their existing copper cabling infrastructure. More importantly, SFP+ 10GBASE-T transceivers automatically inter-operate with legacy Ethernet devices and backward compatible with legacy 1000Base-T networks. The 10GBASE-T copper SFP+ transceiver optics provided by Optcore converts a 10GbE SFP + port on a switch, router, or NIC (network interface card) into a 10GBASE-T RJ45 connection, allowing the transmission of 10G bandwidth over the existing copper infrastructure without using expensive fiber SFP+ transceivers. This helps end users protect their investment in existing copper cabling infrastructure.

Specialized coded before shipment, the SFP+ 10GBase-T copper transceiver is compatible with a wide range of OEM's including Cisco, Netgear, Juniper etc. The following table list some copper SFP+ part numbers and descriptions for your reference:

10GBASE-T standard
10GBASE-T (also known as IEEE 802.3an) is an Ethernet standard released in 2006 that provides 10Gbps connectivity over unshielded or shielded twisted pair cables up to 100 meters (330 feet) (Cat6 / Cat7). 10GBASE-T is the fourth generation of IEEE-standardized BASE-T technology that uses RJ45 connectors and unshielded twisted-pair cabling to provide 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps, and 10Gbps data transmission with backward compatibility with previous generations of products.
