Global Planners Brings Holiday Spirit to PEI Kids' Children and Families

HAMILTON, N.J. - Dec. 21, 2017 - PRLog -- Global Planners Inc., a high-touch meeting and event planning company based in Hamilton, NJ, held a holiday party on December 4th at the Hamilton Elks Lodge for nearly 200 children and families served by PEI Kids.

The Lawrenceville-based nonprofit, PEI Kids, offers counseling for child victims of sexual abuse, support for children in foster care, and programming for system-involved youth to help them turn their lives around. Megan Buzzetta, President and CEO of Global Planners Inc., explained, "PEI Kids is an organization that we believe in so strongly.  Every day they work tirelessly to heal the spirits of the children they support, and we thought a holiday party would be a great way to let the children of PEI Kids know how special, important, loved and cherished they are."

Global Planners, Inc. brought together community organizations, staff, and supporters to create a first-rate family event, including a live DJ, photo booth, craft activities, cookie and ornament decoration, and a full-course dinner catered and donated by Rob Buzzetta of Buzzetta's Festival Foods.  Diane and Ralph Pocino coordinated donations and volunteers including Santa Claus, represented by Grand Knight Terence Cezar, who was on hand to give each child an age appropriate gift; and the Knights of Columbus Trenton Council 355 and Hamilton Elks Lodge 2262 who donated funds to purchase gifts for all the children.  The staff of Global Planners volunteered as elves and Santa's helpers throughout the evening.  Buzzetta added, "It was a team effort and we had a lot of fun in the process!"

Children danced, families posed for souvenir photos, and all the children left with stockings full of snacks and candy plus holiday gifts. The entire event was provided at no cost to PEI Kids or the families it serves. PEI Kids' Executive Director Roz Dashiell commented, " We simply could not achieve our work without the support of caring friends like Megan Buzzetta, the staff of Global Planners, and everyone involved in making this event possible for our children and families. They provide a stunning example of a caring community and all that we hope for during the holiday season. On behalf of our Board, staff, children and families, I extend my heartfelt gratitude."
