BESIKTAS, Turkey - Dec. 20, 2017 - PRLog -- Today, Smyrna Capital, an early-stage technology venture fund, announced along with Akche Project that it made a substantial investment in Akche, the leading Turkish cryptocurrency. Akche quietly launched its trading on the Waves platform on the founding day of the Turkish republic with a total supply of 79,814,871 (one AKCHE for each Turkish citizen). Its value is backed by the Akche Turkish national technology fund that invests in promising national technologies under the guidance of all AKCHE holders.

At its current value of TRY2.43, total potential AKCHE market cap is over TRY 190 Million and Smyrna Capital is betting that this value is a fraction of its potential in the next few years. Of the cryptocurrency's recent success, Smyrna Capital President Oltac Unsal said, "as an early adopter of Bitcoin, we were happy to find AKCHE as a national competitor that can crowdfund the next generation blockchain projects." Akche Project leader Erkan Sen added, "We are looking for Smyrna Capital to bring their investment acumen, Silicon Valley connections to the project and add immense value to team and other AKCHE holders. Expect to see a national exchange and other exciting initiatives backed by AKCHE in the coming months with the financial backing of Smyrna and other AKCHE holders."

AKCHE will launch its own startup funding eco-system called IMECE in the second half of 2018 bringing together investors and blockchain projects through its own blockchain voting system utilizing Waves Smart Contracts. It is also negotiating with major exchanges for further listing as the leading cryptocurrency.
