Rick Ochs Elected Chairman Of The ASTM F46 Aerospace Personnel Main Committee

 
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Dec. 14, 2017 - PRLog -- RICK OCHS HAS BEEN ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE ASTM F46 AEROSPACE PERSONNEL MAIN COMMITTEE

The F46 Committee was formed in 2014 to develop industry derived academic knowledge standards for aircraft maintenance personnel. F46 has technical subcommittees that develop these standards for Aerospace personnel in various categories of skillsets including Airframe, Powerplants, Avionics, Interiors, IT Networks & Onboard Communications systems. The scope of the committee is the development and maintenance of internationally accepted standards and guidance materials for effective training of aerospace personnel based on the current needs and technological advancements as they occur in the aviation industry sector. These knowledge standards are maintained current with the technological advancements in the aerospace industry and are not affected by the slow pace of change in associated government regulations.

The work of F46 will play a preeminent role in all aspects of aerospace personnel education, training, qualifications and certifications.

Rick is an aviation industry veteran that has previously served with NCATT developing industry approved education standards for Avionics Technicians. He is the founder of Spirit Aeronautics in Columbus, Ohio, and presently serves as the CEO.

Also elected as F46 Committee Officers are; Vice Chair, Kirk Bajdek (Amway Flight Dept.), Vice Chair, William Tramper (Azimuth Aerospace Solutions) , Recording Secretary,  Mike Adamson (Aircraft Electronics Assoc.) and Membership Secretary, Mark Mata (Satcom Direct).
