1-800-PACK-RAT Donates Container to Store Christmas Gifts for Children in Puerto Rico

WAKE FOREST, N.C. - Dec. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- 1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC, a service leader in portable storage and moving solutions, is providing a container to Barbers United for Puerto Rico to help them store items donated by their local community. The portable storage container will be used to collect and store Christmas gifts until they are transported to children and families in need in Puerto Rico.

On September 20, 2017, Hurricane Maria made landfall on Puerto Rico. With sustained winds of 64 mph, wind gusts up to 113 mph, and widespread flooding, the island suffered devastating damage that will require a long-term recovery commitment.

While rebuilding efforts are still underway, a group of barbers, stylists, and entrepreneurs in Broward County, FL decided to come together to collect gifts and toys so that families and children still on the island can have a happy holiday season, even while they are still dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane.

1-800-PACK-RAT will deliver a 16-foot container that will be used to store all the donated items. The all-steel, weatherproof, portable storage container is an ideal solution for the event organizers as it can easily be dropped off and picked up, and the ground-level design will make packing and unpacking convenient as there are no ramps to climb up and down. While on-site, the container will keep all the donated items safe and secure until they are transported to Puerto Rico for final delivery.
