By: The Jimmy Star Show With Ron Russell Alan Graham Frew is the lead vocalist and primary song-writer for the Canadian band, Glass Tiger. He has also released three solo albums. With Glass Tiger, Frew has sold in excess of 7,000,000 albums and singles and has had numerous #1 and top ten singles, with the best known of them being the smash pop hit , "Don't Forget Me ( when I'm gone)" and "Someday" both of which had great success in the USA. He has appeared on many television specials, raises money for various causes and continues to perform around Canada as a solo artist while continuing to tour extensively with Glass Tiger. Frew has won five Canadian Juno Awards, five Canadian Classic Awards and was nominated for a Grammy. In addition to being a singer/songwriter, he is an author of the best-selling book THE ACTION SANDWICH ( a six-step recipe to success doing what you're already doing), a public speaker and he enjoys any opportunity to add actor to his extensive resume. He is a recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Award in recognition of his service to the Canadian Arts and for his tireless charitable work and dedication mainly on behalf of poverty-stricken children and their needs. In 2008 Frew teamed up with songwriter Stephan Moccio to write "I Believe", the theme song of CTV's Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The song was produced by legendary, 14-time Grammy winner, Phil Ramone with the the strings component of the song being scored, arranged and conducted by William Ross, at the Fox Studios in Los Angeles, with Grammy winning engineer, Armin Steiner engineering. The song was sung by Canadian sensation Nikki Yanofsky and by March 1st, 2010 "I Believe" had sold over 90,000 digital units in Canada, achieving #1 status on iTunes Canada and Billboard's Canadian Hot 100 in February 2010. Frew also co-wrote, Joe Cocker's certified platinum hit "Fire It Up" which was Cocker's last major hit before his passing in December 2014. On August 20, 2015, after finishing his cover album entiled "80290Rewind" Most recently he has completed a new CD with Glass Tiger due out in Feb of 2018 which will include a nationwide tour. Glass Tiger has also recently procured a U.S. agent and is looking forward to returning to perform for their American fans which is long overdue.
