Texas Trust Donates $5,000 and Hundreds of Gifts to Toys for Tots

MANSFIELD, Texas - Dec. 7, 2017 - PRLog -- At the annual Toys for Tots toy drive here, Texas Trust Credit Union delivered hundreds of toys and a check for $5,000. This is the sixth year Texas Trust has played a key role in the annual toy collection event, held at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts.

Texas Trust collected toys at each of its branches and delivered them to the event in its restored 1956 Chevrolet school bus. The credit union also hosted a family zone where children made "magic sparkling food" for Santa's reindeer. The reindeer food helps direct Santa's reindeer to a child's home and provides a snack for the reindeer while Santa delivers presents.

More than a dozen employees from Texas Trust participated in the event. Ron Smith, senior vice president of retail operations, presented the check to Toys for Tots, along with all the toys that were collected. And Cash, the Texas Trust eagle mascot, competed in a race against the mascots of each Mansfield ISD High School.
