NEW YORK - Dec. 7, 2017 - PRLog -- Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks recently stressed the importance of understanding and learning from history, especially in light of current affairs.  "If you're concerned about what's going on today, read history," he said.

We Are All Americans retells the story of the American Civil War by three reporters in a contemporary newsroom setting in time linear fashion with the actual words of the three most central figures of the time – Jefferson Davis, Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.

It is often said the country entered the war as the United States, plural, and emerged a nation as the United States, singular.  Between the election of November 1860 and April 1865, the country was torn by sectional differences 80 years in the making.

However, it was what happened in between these two mileposts that shaped the world we live in today.

Author Richard Radoccia says "sadly, many Americans today just do not realize how great was the loss of life that was necessary to put the pieces back together.  With all the wars the country has faced since then, total casualties still exceed them all – combined."

Readers have expressed how the book brings the story to life, as if they were witnessing the news as it happened.

Join the journey back in time to witness history for yourself.  The paperback is available at Amazon.  Kindle version coming soon.
