How do I change the admin name on my Mac

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 5, 2017 - PRLog -- The mac user account is created at the time of initial set up when you first switch on your computer. When you create a user account, you have to provide a password to it as well. The password is needed because when you log in , Mac makes sure that you are logging in securely and no one else accept you or anyone without your permission cannot access your MacBook. This is required for security as well as privacy.

However when you want to change the password or maybe the user account name after sometime then Mac gives you the option to do the same. You can very easily change the name of your macOS user account on your Mac. As you already might have known that every user account on your Mac PC has a name and a short name which is the account name. You can see all the user names in the Users & Groups window in the System Preferences.
All you need to do is follow the steps below:
Step1 ) If you want to change the name of a user account, you can do so by going to Apple menu and then navigating to System Preferences.
Step 2) Here,  click Users & Groups and then type the administrator name and password.
Step 3) it will show you the list of all users. From here, right-click on the user account which you wish to rename. After that choose Advanced Options from the shortcut menu and type the name that you want to be displayed
Step 3) Click OK to save your changes.

Your admin account name will be changed and you can change the password if you wish. Next time when you start your PC, the changed name will be displayed and if you have changed the password as well then you need to log in with the newer one.
