Industrial Steam/Wilson Engineering Blowdown Separators for All Pressure Steam Boilers

OAK BROOK, Ill. - Dec. 4, 2017 - PRLog -- Industrial Steam/Wilson Engineering now stocks blowdown separators for every size and pressure steam boiler. Blowdown separators are required to safely vent the flashing steam from boiler blowdown and to cool the water to 140F before it is discharged to the sewer system.

Wilson boiler blowdown systems are built around the Wilson centrifugal blowdown separator. The boiler blowoff is piped tangentially into the separator. In the resulting vortex the pressure is released, allowing the steam flash to rise through the vent while the water and sludge fall through the drain. A stainless steel wear plate protects against erosion in the blowoff entry area. No water is retained in the separator.

All Wilson Engineering blowdown separators are National Board stamped with U or UM label and asme rated for 50 psi. Cooling water control packages and after coolers are also in stock for a complete package.
