Former Reality TV Star to Host Teen Summit for at-risk Teens Vulnerable to Human and Sex Trafficking
Genise Shelton hosts Teen Summit for at-risk Teens in Atlanta with a host of Corporate Partners during Sex Trafficking Awareness Month

CNN reports Sex trafficking as 'The New American Slavery'. According to a 2014 study by the Urban Institute, some traffickers in Atlanta make more than $32,000 a week. The study also cited research findings from 2007 that Atlanta's illegal sex industry generates around $290 million a year.

The Teen Summit will take place from 11 am - 6 pm at Jon'Ric Salon and Spa and The Cave Luxury Barber Spa, both located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, where sex-trafficking often hides in plain sight. It is geared towards teens in at-risk environments from ages 10 - 18. Sponsorship starts at $50 per child. Other cities that rank high for human and sex trafficking include Charlotte, Detroit, Miami, Chicago, D.C., and Miami.
