NEWARK, N.J. - Nov. 24, 2017 - PRLog -- The New Jersey Minority Educational Development Organization (NJ MED) is promoting its 4th Annual National High School Graduation Campaign. The campaign asks incoming freshmen to pledge to graduate high school on time, become computer literate, to live drug-free, not become a teen parent and commit to enroll in higher education at the completion of high school.

The Campaign has had over 100 high schools participate in 26 states.  The campaign has added a How to Signing Day Guide for high school students, their parents, high schools, teachers and school districts and is available free at http://usstudentpledge.org/signing-day.

This year, Mr. Albert Mitchell II, NJ MED's Founder and CEO, said "We know our efforts have not reached every corner of the country. But, it has always been our mission to grow the campaign, organically. What we're asking teens, their parents, teachers and school district leaders are too set an example for the whole community."

Mr. Mitchell, added, "it's irresponsible for us as adults, to denigrate this generation of youths. Because it happened to us (by adults went we were teens). And, look at the results. We have grown intellectually, but emotionally we have become detached from our children. And, Technology has widened that gap. Like Benjamin Franklin expressed, "If we want our children to become a better version of ourselves, we have to set a higher bar for them".

All Public School Districts, Parochial, and charter high school are encouraged to participate. For more information on joining this year's campaign, please visit the campaign's website http://usstudentpledge.org/ for more information.
