IRVINE, Calif. - Nov. 23, 2017 - PRLog -- Meggitt Sensing Systems, a Meggitt division and leader in sensing and monitoring systems for extreme environments, has launched the Endevco model 7290G, an updated version of the legendary 7290 sensor. It is designed for measurement of low level accelerations found in aerospace and automotive testing environments. The gas damped design ensures that the sensor can survive shocks up to 10,000g and then quickly recover to make low frequency measurements.

The Endevco 7290G and 7290GM5 incorporate our in-house MEMS (Micro Electronic Mechanical Systems) technology ensuring the repeatability and reliability required for flight test and vehicle road testing. Precision temperature compensation provides accurate and reliable data while gas damping minimizes any thermally induced frequency response. The M5 option provides a watertight seal for outdoor use in wet environments. Key features include:

• 2, 5, 10, 30, 50 and 100 g ranges
• Input voltage range from 8 to 40 V
• Differential or single-ended output
• Mechanical stops withstand high acceleration loads
• DC response for tilt measurement
