Nominations Now Open for 18th Annual Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award

Recognizing local companies that exemplify ethical business practices is important in creating awareness and understanding of the everyday application of these practices. Non-Profit and Governmental Entities Now Eligible to Apply.

DALLAS - Nov. 16, 2017 - PRLog -- Do you know of an ethical company? Nominations for the 2018 Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award (GDBEA) program are now being accepted. Public or private companies of any size may enter the award process. Call for nominations will remain open through Jan. 31, 2018.

Companies may be nominated by customers, clients, employees, consultants and vendors or may self-nominate. Prospective nominees should be companies that have demonstrated a commitment to high ethical standards and corporate responsibility in dealing with their customers, employees and other stakeholders.

Categories for the 2018 program have expanded and now include for-profit, non-profit and governmental entities. Businesses in the financial services and banking industries are now eligible as well.

Nominees must have headquarters located in Collin, Dallas or Ellis counties, and a business history of at least five years.

Another first for the program is automation. Nominations and entry submissions are now accepted securely online at https://gdbea-nominations.secure-platform.com/a

Entrants are judged by an independent panel, including previous honorees, representing the business, academic, public service, and consulting communities in North Texas. In addition to stringent criteria and supporting materials, entrant companies also host a site visit and assessment from candidates in the Posey Leadership Institute at Austin College.

More than 40 companies have been recognized since 2000. Interstate Batteries, Karlee, Kimberly-Clark, Lone Star Analysis, MRP Facility Services, ParkHub, Purdy-McGuire, Regeneration Partners, The Richards Group, Sendero, Sleep Experts, Staffelbach, The Staubach Company, TDIndustries, TELOS Performance Center, Texas Institute for Surgery, Trammell Crow Company, TXU, UR Holdings, Weir's Furniture Village, Wishbone Graphics.

The North Texas Ethics Association, Inc. provides training and educational opportunities to businesses in the DFW area as part of its goal to inspire, recognize and educate companies about ethical businesses practices. Through the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award program, the NTEA recognizes and celebrates those companies that demonstrate and substantiate a commitment to high ethical standards and corporate responsibility.
