Accumen Hires Chief Technology & Strategy Officer to Enhance Healthcare Delivery

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 14, 2017 - PRLog -- Accumen Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Tom Fountain to its team as Chief Technology & Strategy Officer.  Mr. Fountain's, hands-on experience makes him an ideal choice to partner with hospitals and health systems committed to transforming the clinical laboratory with change that is sustainable and delivers higher quality in patient care.

Mr. Fountain will work side-by-side with clients to align Accumen's Technology™ solutions including Accumen Performance Suite™ (APS™), an innovative, cloud-based technology that is purpose-built for hospital and health system laboratories to provide real-time, actionable insights to deliver better quality of care with greater speed and efficiency.  In the clinical setting, APS™ allows clinical laboratories to examine efforts to improve the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of test results.  The value is realized by health systems and patients in outcomes that include, but are not limited to, improved patient safety, solving the lack of interoperability in EMRs, reduced turnaround times for results, and lower cost of care.

Mr. Fountain will join Accumen's executive leadership team after serving as the Chief Technology Officer of Pneuron Corporation for five years.  Prior to this role, he delivered real-time results in positions of increasing scope and responsibility at GE, Dell, Honeywell, and Bunge Limited.  He has a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from MIT and a Master's Degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Duke University.  A certified Six Sigma Blackbelt, Mr. Fountain also holds four patents.
