'Unsung Heroes in the Arts" to be honored at the "Fusical" -- November 16, 2017
The Arts Fuse, Boston's premiere independent online magazine for the criticism and coverage of arts and culture, announces its annual Arts Fuse Awards for Outstanding Contributions to the Arts in New England.

The Arts Fuse Awards recognize artists, spaces, and institutions that do the indispensable work of producing and sustaining creative excellence. Senior critics at the Arts Fuse supplied the nominations. Editor-in-chief Bill Marx made the final judgments. "The goal," explains Marx, " was to look outside of the usual safe and/or commercial candidates, to reward the efforts of those who do amazing work but are overlooked."

About the Arts Fuse: Now celebrating its tenth year, the online arts magazine boasts a stable of over sixty critics, ranging from professionals to budding stars, writing on the arts and culture in New England and beyond. Criticism, news, and commentary are not simply viewed as marketing fodder; the goal is to foster thoughtful dialogue while encouraging greater participation in the arts and entertainment throughout the region. A quotation from Jonathan Swift sums up the publication's editorial mandate: "Use the point of your pen, not the feather."
