Follow on Google News | KSPS Public Television to Host Free Annual FitKits Day At Ferris High School Football FieldFamilies are invited to this free annual event. Kids will enjoy a morning of active play and can meet PBS stars like Curious George, The Man in the Yellow Hat and Clifford the Big Red Dog and Spokane's own Aqua Duck.
By: KSPS Public Television To introduce kids to the fun and importance of fitness, there will be giant inflatables, parachute games, tunnels, kites, bubbles, and plenty of games and activities on the grass. Even toddlers will find things to do. Kids will also be greeted by costumed characters from hit PBS Kids programs, including George and the Man with the Yellow Hat from Curious George, Clifford from Clifford the Big Red Dog), and Aqua Duck, defender of Spokane's aquifer. The event is free and open to the public. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. This is an outdoor event so don't forget your sunscreen. Water will be provided by the City of Spokane. Fruit provided by Peroni Produce 2017's event drew just shy of a thousand participants. Event opens at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 3rd at Ferris High School Football Field, located near 3020 E 37th Ave, Spokane, WA 99223. Sponsored in part by Siverwood Theme Park. Some activities provided by Spokane Country Library District and the Inland Northwest Early Learning Alliance. FitKids Day is made possible by the efforts of over 40 volunteers.
