NEW YORK - Nov. 1, 2017 - PRLog -- Pathfinder Labs (www.pathfinder.vet) -- a crowdsourced reviews publisher for the military and veteran communities -- has created a first-of-its-kind, industry survey series that examines the efficiency and impact of Military and Veteran Organizations named The Pathfinder Support Sector Series. Today, Pathfinder kicks off the first survey of its series that will evaluate the impact of the arts on the veteran community.  Launched in partnership with organizations and services throughout the New York City area, this first survey is designed to understand the impact art services have on the reintegration process of military families.

Participants opt into a free membership at Pathfinder.vet and can search for an organization by name, or search by arts category. Any organization reviewed will be notified during the review period to encourage additional participation and further data collection.

The survey is open to all servicemembers, reservists, veterans, family members, caregivers, and military supporters who have experiences with arts-related programs. It consists of 6 rating questions and one text question where the individual is invited to share their detailed experience. The analytics algorithm uses natural language processors to pull critical information from the text question and provide in-depth details to the reader, eliminating the need for lengthy, multi-question surveys.

Participating organizations and services include but are not limited to:

Bedlam Outreach (2 programs)

DECRUIT (2 programs)

Arts in the Armed Forces

Intrepid After Hours

Voices From War

Exit 12 Dance Company

Lincoln Center Veterans Initiative

Aquila Theater

Society of Artistic Veterans

Veteran Artist Program

Data collected will be used to identify any gaps in services, potential organizational partnerships, grant and donor opportunities, and areas where the arts excel in military and family reintegration. All responses are anonymous and no user information will be shared with organizations.

Results will be presented at 12:30 pm on 12 December 2017 at Civic Hall, 118 W 22nd Street, New York NY 10011, 12th Floor, in an informal lunchtime briefing in partnership with the New York City Department of Veteran Services.
