Queens' Chinese Restaurant, Guan Fu Szechuan, Receives Raving New York Times Review
By: Guan Fu Szechuan
Following traditional menu options for a Szechuan restaurant, Guan Fu Szechuan boasts an elaborate menu that covers seafood, sautéed dishes, appetizers, gourmet entrees, vegetable entrees, soups, snacks, and desserts.
"As traditional Chinese cooks and restaurant managers, we were very eager to finally open Guan Fu Szechuan right here in Flushing," said Long Fei Li, Founder and Owner of Guan Fu Szechuan. "Thus far, we have been incredibly impressed with our clientele and steady influx of customers. We want to thank the New York Times for such a detailed review this week, and look forward to serving more of New York City's Szechuan advocates."
Guan Fu Szechuan is characterized by a dignified dining room with polished wood panels that stand next to weathered wooden screens, all beneath an illuminated ceiling recesses. The restaurant is equipped with private rooms that have chairs resembling something of small thrones. Tables come with dark chopsticks, designed with intricate metal work at the tips.
When reviewing the culinary experience at Guan Fu, Xu stated, "the flavors are potent, but they don't get all of their force from their heat."
Xu goes onto state that although Guan Fu is still in its beginning stages, it is poised to be one of the top Szechuan dining locations in the greater New York City metropolitan today.
