Record-Breaking Snake Preys at Edge of Hell Haunted House

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Oct. 15, 2017 - PRLog -- Friday the 13th may be unlucky for many people, but for Medusa, Edge of Hell's world record-breaking largest snake, it was her lucky day. This official world record breaking, reticulated python hatched from her egg in October 13, 2004 and has been a happy resident at the haunted houses for most of her life. To celebrate her 13th milestone she got to snack on some prey of rats and greet the throngs of visitors outside Edge of Hell.

The official world record measured 25 feet, 2 inches long on October 12, 2011 but officials at Full Moon Productions affirm she is even bigger but not ready to reveal her new official size. Even though she looks like she could squeeze the evil out of the devil, himself, she is content with feeding on the range of prey offered to her from rats and rabbits to pigs and deer. Then with a full belly she enjoys watching the haunted house harried guests file past her.

Medusa loves her working girl status in the cavernous turn-of-the-century brick warehouse in the West Bottoms, weighing around 400 pounds, plus or minus when she has last eaten and how large of meat she swallows whole (often still-squirming).

Larry Edgar, Medusa's handler stated, "They've actually cut people out of them (Reticulated Pythons), they are man-eaters. That's why we keep Medusa well-fed and slightly out of reach. We know she is content when she makes this vibration like a purr and she is obviously happy by never skipping meal."

"Medusa's requires 20 strong handlers to safely carry her and we always keep Rat Man at the tail end. She fits in perfectly in the Edge of Hell Haunted House that is focused on phobias," said Amber Arnett-Bequeaith, Full Moon Production's Vice President, a.k.a. Queen of Haunts. "She passed this milestone with lots of fans and despite a birthday falling on October 13 I'm sure she felt lucky.  Medusa is a bit of a snake charmer mesmerizing guests who sometimes cannot fathom this is the real deal!"
