Ft. Worth's Vintage Flying Museum Will Hold Annual Big Band Hangar Dance October 21, 2017

 
FORT WORTH, Texas - Oct. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- The Vintage Flying Museum will hold its 27th Annual Big Band Hangar Dance, Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 8 pm-midnight. During the evening flights may also be taken in a vintage C-47 plane.

"This year we are thrilled to have a homecoming visit from our old B-17 "Chuckie", which has been rebadged as the Madras Maiden reflecting its new hometown of Madras, OR," said Charlyn 'Chuckie' Hospers, director of the Vintage Flying Museum.

"We invite everyone to come out and enjoy a fun evening of dinner and dancing. This event has been our major fundraiser for nearly three decades," added Hospers. "We really take pride in being the home of the original hangar dance in DFW and our authentic WWII B-29 hangar offers the only true retro venue for this type of event."

The Dynamic Swing Machine will provide real big band music for guests listening and dancing pleasure. Area swing dance clubs turn out for this event and exhibit some amazing dance talent. Forties Era or period aviator attire is optional and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes

Advance dinner and dance tickets are $55. Dance only tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Reserve tables are available for $350 for a party of ten. Corporate tables are also available for $1,200. Dinner will be served from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.The event is BYOB with soft drinks available.Tickets are sold at the Vintage Flying Museum, 505 N.W. 38th Street, Hangar 33 South, Fort Worth, TX 76106. For an additional fee those attending can take a nostalgic evening flight over the city of Ft. Worth on the C-47 will beginning at 5 p.m.
