By: BGCOP "This is a key boost to our fundraising infrastructure. Our buildings have been a second home to more than three generations of youth. That's a lot of wear and tear on a home, and we need to ensure we can raise funds to maintain our buildings for future generations," The VCCF grant was unanimously approved by its board of directors and is funded by the A.A. and Jeanne W. Milligan Fund. "The Club's work is life-changing for a vulnerable population in our community, so we are happy to fulfill our donor's wishes by making this grant," said Vanessa Bechtel, CEO of the VCCF. BGCOP provides services to more than 10,400 youth and teens. Services are provided in three freestanding clubhouses in Oxnard and Port Hueneme which include a dedicated Teen Center, 11 public school program sites, one Club site in Nyeland Acres, one site at a Squires Public Housing, and the first Boys & Girls Club in a juvenile hall in the State of California. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme (BGCOP) is a nonprofit 501© (3) youth service organization.
