AFEA Expands by Adding Chapter in Brighton, MI

BRIGHTON, Mich. - Oct. 10, 2017 - PRLog -- The American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA) is dedicated to providing financial education and increasing financial literacy within communities all over the country. Today, the Board of Directors has chosen to continue to do just that, by unanimously voting Christopher Berry as the new Chapter President of AFEA's Brighton, MI #4545.

Christopher has been involved in legal and financial planning since 1998. Through education and drive, he launched The Elder Care Firm in 2005 and has spearheaded its evolution into a leading estate and elder law firm in the nation, where attorneys across the United States view the office as a Model Office and regularly hire Chris as a consultant. Shortly after the launch of The Elder Care Firm in 2005, his clients clamored for advice on investments and long-term care planning financial strategies, which led the establishment of The CJ Berry Group, which focuses on holistic wealth, estate and tax planning. Christopher has segued his experience as an accomplished attorney and holistic advisor into teaching and coaching others to better help their clients through a position with Western Michigan Cooley Law School, teaching 2nd and 3rd year law students estate planning and elder law as well as teaching financial advisors, lawyers, and CPA's estate, financial and long-term care planning. Christopher excels as taking sophisticated legal and financial planning concepts and making them easy to understand for his clients. While his knowledge and sophisticated planning techniques are second-to-none, his strength is in being easily relatable and easy to understand. He has been given top honors from such organizations as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Nation's Top 1% of Attorneys, Distinguished Legal Counsel, Avvo and more. He has been featured in Kiplinger's Retirement and has a published book available for sale "The Caregiver's Legal Guide to Caring for a Loved One with Chronic Illness." Christopher is very involved in his local community, serving as a volunteer on numerous boards including Easter Seals of Michigan, The Walk to End Alzheimer's, and has won awards for his civic duty, including the Spirt of Detroit award. Over the past few years he has raised over $20,000 for The Walk to End Alzheimer's and the Area Agency on Aging. His personal interests including spending time with his wife, Rochelle, and kids, Ryan and Madison. He enjoys reading, Jiu-Jitsu, CrossFit, and spending time on the lake with his family.
