ORANGE, Calif. - Oct. 4, 2017 - PRLog -- Casa Teresa's annual fundraising gala evening "Masquerade Gala" takes place on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the elegant Island Hotel in Newport Beach, CA.  The OC-based non-profit also marks its 41st year as a safe haven in support of pregnant women in crisis.

The gala evening encompasses a cocktail reception, silent auction and wine wall followed by a live auction.  Auction items include a one-week stay at the Marriott's Mountain Valley Lodge in Breckenridge, CO; elegant dinner for eight at a private home overlooking Laguna Beach; one-week vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico; and two tickets to a live broadcast of the hit show, 'Dancing with the Stars.'

"It's an extraordinary opportunity to learn more about our programs and raise needed funds to fulfill our mission to serve pregnant women in crisis," says Lisa Wood, CEO Casa Teresa.  "41 years in the community is cause for celebration.  But more than that, we're celebrating the thousands of mothers who have reclaimed their lives and their families."

Admission for the full evening of events is $250 per person and includes a cocktail reception, dinner and dessert and many fundraising opportunities: wine pull, live and silent auction and a chance to invest in a mom.

Tickets are on sale now. To charge by phone, or for additional information on the Masquerade Gala, call Casa Teresa at 714.538.4860 or visit www.casateresa.org.  Seating is limited.

About Casa Teresa

Deeply rooted in the Orange County community, Casa Teresa provides pregnant women in crisis a loving home to begin their healing journey. With a trusted and compassionate team of professionals and a proven residential program, we empower mothers in learning lifelong skills to end cycles of homelessness, abuse, and addiction; regain control of their futures; and create families that thrive.

Founded in 1976 in Santa Ana, Casa Teresa was envisioned as a home for pregnant women over the age of 18 who were alone and had no support. At the time, there were very few resources or shelters specifically for single, homeless pregnant women, and founders Neill and Sally Sullivan launched Casa Teresa as a four-unit building and cottage to meet the need.  After nearly a decade in Santa Ana, Casa Teresa moved to its current site in Orange in 1985, where its Old Towne location ensured access to nearby stores, public transportation, and healthcare for residents.
