Follow on Google News | BoConcept Philadelphia To Help Raise Money For Puerto Rico Hurricane ReliefOwner Terrace Daniels and Councilwoman Maria Quiñones-Sanchez team up to hold silent auction and raffle to support recovery in Puerto Rico
By: BoConcept Philadelphia There will be a silent auction and raffle of several pieces in the store, including a Calton swivel armchair, which retails for a little over $2,500. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization, Unidos Por Puerto Rico. Sherman Brothers Men's Shoes, also in Center city, donated gift certificates to be raffled off. BoConcept's store manager, Nathalie, who is Puerto Rican, is happy about the fundraiser, but concerned about her family back home. "My grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins are all there. The ones we have been able to communicate with are without power and there are a few family members who live in very remote areas who we still haven't heard from yet." Daniels states he is happy to answer the call for help. "We are more than a store. We are a family." The event is free to the public, however raffle tickets are $20 each. Local caterer Amuse Bouche Cuisine will provide hors d'oeuvres and refreshments for the event.
