Follow on Google News | "LEAP Celebrates Latin-American Leaders"On Friday, September 29th, LEAP, LLC celebrated Latin-American Leaders at the 9th Annual Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Embassy Dinner.
The Embassy Celebration Dinner Series was launched in 2008, and it is recognized as the Chamber's exclusive event honoring Latin-American leaders and organizations that are making a meaningful impact on international trade and commercial affairs in the Western Hemisphere. Previously, the dinner has honored a number of high-ranking officials, including, but not limited to, those from the Embassies of Spain, Mexico, Trinidad, and the Dominican Republic. This year's Embassy Dinner was equally impressive with an exulting address from the Honorable Geronimo Gutierrez, Ambassador of Mexico to the United States of America. LEAP, via its CEO and President, Dr. Clayton Lawrence, has been a company that has championed and embraced diversity within its own organization, as well as in the collaboration and support of other businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individual civic and political leaders, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Lawrence shared his personal connection to the GWHCC's celebration of Latin-American leaders stating, "With my Afro-Caribbean roots, as my parents were both immigrants from Trinidad, I am always compelled and humbled to celebrate those who have and will continue to change the world in extraordinary ways to represent their citizens, their heritages, and their countries. The Embassy Dinner Series is such an incredible event that allows us all the opportunity to celebrate phenomenal leaders, and LEAP is proud to support the event in its 9th year." LEAP Foundation DC, the non-profit sister organization of LEAP, LLC, was recognized in 2014 as the GWHCC's Non-Profit Award Winner of the Year, and both LEAP organizations have continued their ongoing support of the organization since that time. "We recognize the efforts that the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce makes daily to create opportunity, economic prosperity, educational access, and pathways to leadership and excellence for our minority populations, and we will continue to stand in support of all that this organization represents at such an important time in our nation's history," Dr. Lawrence concluded.
