2BLIKEu's Founder Is Calling for "Kill Switch" To Be Integrated In All Self-Driving Cars

NEW CANAAN, Conn. - Oct. 2, 2017 - PRLog -- "Right now we have companies testing Self-Driving Cars on America's Roads and Streets with no type of Safety Component in place; thus placing Americans at risk!  And because most of these companies' Software is still in Development, how a hacker would hack into GM, Ford, Google and Other Companies' Onboard Software is still unknown, and this is why we need to implement a safety net around America's Roads on day one! So if an Auto or Software Company's Self-Driving Vehicle is hacked, Law Enforcement will have the tools to stop a Self-Driving Car or Truck from killing Americans. Companies should be required to demonstrate that their onboard software has a Law Enforcement "Kill Switch" built into it before they are permitted to place a Self-Driving Car or Truck on America's Roads.

While human safety should be a priority, I am still dismayed by the Self-Driving Legislation that's being shaped in Europe and the U.S... There is no Terrorism Provision in either draft that gives Law Enforcement the tools they will need to save lives or to stop a Terrorist Attack.  By integrating a "Kill Switch" within the vehicle's software it would allow Law Enforcement to stop a Self-Driving Vehicle or take full control of a Self-Driving Vehicle's Steering System.

What Lawmakers in Europe and U.S. have failed to take into account is that a Self-Driving Vehicle doesn't require a Terrorist to be in the vehicle!  And once a Self-Driving Vehicle has been hacked it becomes a Modern Day Weapon!  And this is why Governments around the world, not just the U.S., have to be proactive and give Law Enforcement the tools they need to save lives.  Especially when Terrorists are using Cars and Trucks to kill people in Europe and U.S.
